Thoughts

I’ve only just become aware of Mr Mann’s passing. He was such a lovely person, as was Mrs Mann. I will never forget his kindness and have often wished I could be much more like him. Had some great trips in his lime green Ford Escort estate with other Sunday School lads to watch his beloved H&P FC. I wouldn’t have dreamed of missing Sunday School, when Mr and Mrs Mann were always so caring and interested. My thoughts are with Biddy and Andrew in particular but also the no doubt many other people who will be sad about him passing away. Alan Gorman

Norman was such a special man . He has been part of our lives for more than 60 years. He was always such a big part of our time at upper dovercourt Sunday school. In recent years he would come to visit my mum and that cheered her up because they reminisced about THEIR time as children in Sunday school . He even found time to visit her at the end of her life in a care home. Every time I saw him he would pat me on the shoulder and say “you haven’t changed a bit” ( I wish ). My thoughts are with Andrew and Biddy and their families. Rest in peace Norman , you will be missed by a lot of people. From Susan Whyte nee Deex

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
